About The Author

David Moyer has published articles in boating, business and classic car magazines, following a career in which he conducted executive searches to identify and attract heads of communications to major corporations and nonprofit organizations.

He recruited department heads to Lockheed, Weyerhaeuser, GE Capital, Sandia National Labs, the Rockefeller Foundation, and others. He also found speechwriters for the chairmen of major companies such as Mobil, Northrop and United Technologies. He spoke to many professional groups, including giving speeches on speechwriting to groups of speechwriters. He addressed the Washington Speechwriters Roundtable three times, and was called to The White House to counsel departing speechwriters and press relations officers on the private sector at the conclusion of an administration.

He received the Eleanor Raynolds award from the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants for excellence in search consulting combined with a strong commitment to community service and volunteerism toward charitable causes.

An avid sailor, he lives in Connecticut with his wife and their dogs.
